We’re pleased to share the latest December updates to the SmartCar Backoffice platform.

This release introduces upgraded automation tools, major improvements to real-time tracking, enhanced pricing logic, and multiple system optimizations designed to boost speed, stability, and operational reliability across your fleet.

🚀 New Features

Advanced Dispatching & Operations

[SCBE-103] Advanced Dispatcher Upgrade

We’ve expanded the dispatcher’s toolkit with deeper automation and planning capabilities:

  • Create and use custom driver & vehicle lists for smarter pre-planned allocations
  • Improved routing and assignment optimization
  • Reduced dispatcher workload during peak activity

Backoffice Tracking Enhancements

[SCW-182] Tracking Page – Multi-Select & Improved In-Progress View

  • Select multiple drivers at once
  • In-progress bookings now intelligently grouped by booking type, offering clearer operational visibility

[SCBE-104] Tracking Page – Extended Filters & Booking Extras

New filters provide better control and search accuracy:

  • Booking status
  • Booking type
  • Multi-selection across multiple criteria

The Travel Services driver view also now displays Booking Extras, giving dispatchers more context per trip.

Live Flight Radar Integration

SmartCar Backoffice now includes live flight status information:

  • Real-time airline data directly within the platform
  • Smoother airport pickup coordination and better ETA forecasting

Performance & Search Enhancements

[SCW-184] Booking List – Search Debounce

  • Backoffice now waits 1 second before sending search queries
  • Reduces unnecessary API calls and improves page responsiveness

PM2 & System-Level Stability

  • Improved email notifications via PM2 monitoring
  • Increased stability for ReportsCalculation execution

Driver Portal Login

  • Driver authentication has been made more reliable
  • Legacy login mechanism deprecated to improve system security

  • Fixed an issue where return booking prices were not being retrieved correctly

  • Added domain restrictions (e.g., restcountries) to strengthen security and prevent unauthorized outbound calls

💳 Voucher & Billing Enhancements

  • Added a toggle to choose voucher validation mode:
    • Per client
    • Global (previous behavior)
  • Faster voucher-based pricing due to indexing and internal optimizations

  • When a quote is accepted, the system now automatically records the reference under external_reference

Booking.com Integration
