Amazon Cloud Dispatcher. Video. How to use !

SmartCar – Amazon-Style Auto Dispatching Explained

The Amazon-style auto-dispatching feature in INSOFTDEV’s SmartCar platform brings automation and speed to your ground transportation operation by streamlining how jobs are assigned to drivers.

This dispatching method is designed to minimize delays and increase efficiency by offering available jobs to multiple drivers at the same time, just like Amazon Flex. Instead of assigning jobs one-by-one based on proximity or availability, the system broadcasts the job offer to a group of eligible drivers.

🚗 How It Works:

  • Job Offer Sent to Multiple Drivers Simultaneously
As soon as a booking is created, the system identifies all available drivers who match the criteria and sends the job offer to all of them at once.

  • First-Come, First-Served Acceptance
The first driver to accept the job through the Driver App gets assigned the booking. This ensures faster dispatch and reduces waiting time for passengers.

  • Configurable Filters
You can configure filters such as vehicle type, radius, or availability window to control which drivers receive the broadcast.

  • Failsafe Logic
If no driver accepts within the configured time window, the system will either retry, escalate, or move to an alternate dispatching logic (e.g., nearest driver).

🎯 Benefits of Amazon-Style Dispatching:

  • Increases booking acceptance speed

  • Reduces manual dispatcher intervention

  • Gives drivers more flexibility in accepting jobs

  • Ideal for high-demand or decentralized fleet scenarios

This feature is particularly useful for on-demand operations, airport transfers, or large event transport, where speed and fairness are essential.
